Privacy Policy

This policy explains what data Jeemsoft (“we”, “our”) handles when you use our apps, websites, and online services (the “Services”), why we handle it, and the choices you have.

The short version

1. What we handle

Things you give us

When you write to us for support, we keep your email address and the content of the conversation. When you use a feature that needs our servers — for example a lookup, a translation, a generated explanation, or a sync — the content you entered is sent to us so that we can return the result.

Things collected automatically

Our apps may record technical events: the app version, device model and operating system, language and region, whether a launch or an action succeeded, and anonymised crash reports. These events are tied to a random installation identifier, not to your name or email.

Purchases

Apple and Google process payments and give us a receipt that says which product you bought and until when it is valid. We use it to unlock what you paid for and to handle support requests about billing.

2. Why we use it

To deliver the feature you asked for (performance of our contract with you); to keep the Services working, secure, and improving (our legitimate interest); to answer you when you contact us; and to comply with legal obligations such as tax records for purchases. Where the law requires consent — for example for optional analytics on some platforms — we ask for it in the app and you can withdraw it in the settings.

3. Who helps us process it

We rely on a small number of service providers who act on our instructions: cloud hosting for our servers, crash-reporting and analytics tooling, the app stores for purchases, and — for language features — AI or translation providers that process the content you submit to return a result. Each provider is bound by contract to use the data only for the service it performs for us. We disclose data to authorities only when the law compels us to.

4. Where it is stored

Our servers are hosted by major cloud providers and may be located outside your country. When data leaves the European Economic Area we use the safeguards the GDPR provides for, such as standard contractual clauses.

5. How long we keep it

Content sent to our servers to produce a result is kept only as long as needed to return that result and to debug failures, then deleted. Support conversations are kept for two years. Technical events and crash reports are kept for up to twelve months. Purchase records are kept as long as accounting law requires.

6. Your choices and rights

You can turn off optional analytics in the app settings, revoke permissions (microphone, notifications, and so on) in your device settings, and remove all locally stored data by deleting the app. Depending on where you live you may also have the right to access, correct, export, or erase the data we hold, to restrict or object to its processing, and to complain to a supervisory authority. To exercise any of these, email info@jeemsoft.net; we answer within a month.

7. Children

Our Services are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has provided us with data, tell us and we will delete it.

8. Security

Data in transit is encrypted, access to our systems is restricted to the people who need it, and we keep the amount of personal data we hold to a minimum. No system is perfectly secure, so we also keep retention short.

9. Changes to this policy

When we change this policy we update the date at the top and, for significant changes, tell you in the app. The current version always lives at https://jeemsoft.net/privacy.html.
